Decal Installation and Removal

Installation
Be sure of the area you want the decal located. Clean the area with warm water.

Take your decal and flip it over and peel off the backing paper.
Place it back on the sticky side of the decal but leave one inch of the vinyl exposed. (Be sure the same shiny side of the paper that was against the vinyl is placed back on the vinyl) Be very careful not to touch the vinyl as it’s sticky any loose material will adhere to it which will be noticeable when the decal is applied to your surface.
Holding the top of the decal and being careful not to let the exposed vinyl touch the surface, position the decal to your preferred location.
When you are positive that the decal is straight, stick the one inch exposed vinyl to your surface by rubbing your hand across from one side to the other.
When you have the bottom of the decal securely applied to the surface, let the top of the decal drop down. Now peel the rest of backing off to expose the entire sticky part of the decal, again being very careful not to let anything touch the sticky part of the decal.
Now, while holding the top of the decal slightly away from the surface, apply even pressure in upward strokes from the bottom of the decal toward the top. A squeegee or credit card shaped plastic item works as a good tool for this. Plastic so it doesn’t scratch or cut the decal.
Continue that same firm motion, from bottom to top, until the entire decal is smoothly flattened onto your surface.
When you’re confident that the decal is firmly and evenly stuck on your surface you will need to remove the white tape. Pick at one corner to free it from the surface and slowly pull it toward the opposite corner, being sure to not pull the tape “away” from the decal but rather pulling in a downward motion. This greatly lessens the chances of your decal wanting to pull away from your surface.
Your decal is in place and looking fine. Give the decal a couple of days for the adhesive to set before going through a car wash or applying direct water pressure.

Now there’s only one more step to go and this is the most time consuming of the whole process,

Wash the rest of your car!!!

Decal Removal

Heat decal with a household hair dryer and start peeling the decal from the surface. Wash the surface with soap and water.
